About MeWell, I guess I took after my mom and grandmother as I got a little older...tons of projects started, but perhaps they weren't all finished. That wasn't because I lacked the skill, but because I simply got distracted by a new and exciting project I wanted to do.
Now, I am a mother of three wonderful little munchkins (all under age 10). Lucky for me, God blessed me with a very loving and patient man as my husband. Because I love change, I am forever starting new projects while he is at work, only to realize that I'm either not strong enough or lack the mechanical skills to complete it until he gets home...And bless his heart, he is always willing to jump in and help me finish all my crazy ideas. I think his least favorite thing to hear from me when he gets home from work is, "So...I was thinking..." That usually means: "So, I want to do this big project and it will require both of our hands to complete it...you in?" And you can just see the eyes rolling in the back of his head and the mumbled question under his breath that says, "Oh no...now what does she have in mind?" Most of my ideas turn out great, however, on occasion we (and I usually mean ME) learn the hard way that we are just not masters of every single trade like I like to think we are. To that we laugh it off and post it as a Pinterest FAIL and move on to the next crazy idea I have come up with. My goal in writing this blog is to hopefully help out someone else (or at least give them funny stories to laugh at) that has a brain full of ideas and perhaps a house full of 1/2 finished projects. To them I say...."You are not alone....I am here with you..." (in my best Michael Jackson voice). I hope that as you're reading this blog, you will learn with me, and certainly laugh with me (sometimes at me) and be encouraged! If there is one thing I have learned over the years in life it is that God is always with us. No matter what road we lead, even when we can't see him, hear him, or feel him. Even when we think that he has abandoned us or left us high and dry...He is there. I have learned that the more time I spend with Him, the more peace I have in this chaotic world I live in. |
